First Vacation (part 1)

We made our first trip back to Illinois as a family of 3 on June 8th. We spent the week visiting with family and friends and relaxing at Grandma and Grandpa's. We had a wonderful week and Payton was a perfect little traveler. She did great on the plane, sleeping through take-off and landing and quietly eating and playing during the flight. I'm posting a ton of pictures in no particular odder!

Kole's Aunt Lana and cousin Krista threw a little welcoming party for Payton to meet the whole Harms fam. They had wonderful food and decorations and it was so great to spend time with the whole family. Kole is the baby of 12 grand kids and Payton is now the baby of 14 great-grand kids, pretty special! Thanks Lana and Krista, we love you!!

Bathing in the new kitchen, Dick and Janaan just remodeled their kitchen and it's beautiful!

Payton slept great in Kole and Uncle Kyle's crib

Janaan worked hard to make a nursery for Payton and any future Harms babies and it's adorable!

We had to take out a "few" stuffed animals to make room for Payton. Here she is hanging with the animals we left in to keep her company. The look on her face is priceless

(Great) Grandma Audrey, (Great) Aunts Suzie and Luann came to visit and Payton was pretty enamored with them.

June 6, 2010

Today was a big day in the Harms house. Kole and I celebrated our two year anniversary. Two years ago today we had a beautiful wedding in Golden, CO and spent the day/night with family and friends. I had so much fun that day and I can't believe it has been two years already, I love Kole even more now, which I would have said was impossible had you asked me that day. Building a life together and watching him become a father has been better than I dreamed. I love you babe!!

Little miss Payton turned two months old today, I'll add her stats and what she's up to these days after her appointment tomorrow. Happy two months baby girl, you have brought so much joy to our lives!

2 Months Old
Weight: 10lbs 14oz 53 percentile
Height: 22 inches 37 percentile
What you are up to: Dr. Yeash said you are right on track and doing everything you are supposed to, even a little advanced as far as how interactive you are. You smile a lot when you are laying and playing or when we talk to you. You just started "talking" on purpose to us and often to lights and ceiling fans. You can roll from your back to either side. You are still eating every 2-3 hours during the day but you only eat once during the night and typically sleep for a 6-7 hour stretch before and 3 hours after which we are very thankful for! You like to be outside, swing, your bouncy seat and only like to be in the car/car seat if it's moving. You HATE tummy time and we feel so mean when we make you do it. We have left you with Nana, Poppa and Aunt Kelsey, and in the church nursery and you do just fine. We love having you around and can't really remember life without you! Happy 2 months Payton Audrey!!

We also had Payton's dedication today at church, well it was put on by the church, but held at a park in Louisville. It was a wonderful celebration of our commitment to raise Payton to know God and do everything we can to protect her as well as our family from harm. It was extremely hot, but we survived. We had a picnic lunch to celebrate with my family and some friends that were dedicating their sons.

Cooling off back at home

Eruchalus and Orjis (friends of ours who dedicated their sons)

The sun wore her out!

She's found her hands and figured out how to get them to her mouth, she's now working on keeping them there!

Amber and Williams dedicated 10 month old Obi

First Swim

Yesterday we met Jenn and Ashtyn and Ariana and Robby (Jenn's sister in law and nephew) at Lamont Does pool in Lafayette. The weather wasn't the best, it was only about 75 and pretty windy, but we had fun any way! Payton liked the pool which surprised me because it was a lot cooler than her bath water. She only got to spend about 10 minutes in it because I didn't want her to get sun burned. She wore her swimsuit and cover from Aunt Kelsey and looked adorable!! The pictures are from my phone so aren't the best, but Jenn got some with her camera so I'll put those up when she has a chance to send them to me. I need to get in the hang of bringing my camera when I go places.

She crashed right after and took a nap in the stroller.

Jenn is due to have little Eli any day now and we can't wait to meet him. Hurry up little guy, your momma is SO ready!

Payton smiles a lot now and it is the sweetest thing, this picture is from last week, but I just had to put it up.

Bolder Boulder 2010

On Memorial my mom and I ran the Bolder Boulder, a 10K (6.2 miles) race through Boulder that ends at Folsom Field (CU's Stadium). The run went a lot better than I thought it would considering I had a baby 8 weeks ago and only trained for a short period of time. It took us an hour and eleven minutes, my mom could have run it much faster, but she slowed down for me, thanks mom! Payton hung out with Kole in the stadium and cheered us on. More pictures to come from my mom's camera...
