Easter

This Easter was a nice quiet one. My mom had come to stay with us for a couple of night when we brought Grant home (such a blessing and huge help) and got to dye eggs with Payton. Payton understood the concept this year and had a really good time with her Nana. We decided to have everyone over for a late afternoon dinner to our house, my mom was there to cook and everyone brought food so it was really easy and relaxing for us. Thank you to my family for being so thoughtful and making it easy for us to celebrate with you.

She woke up to an Easter Bucket and a few eggs hidden in her playroom and had fun hunting for them (even though they were all in plain sight). She LOVES sweets and candy and had to eat all of the jelly beans in each egg before moving on to the next, it was pretty funny. Thankfully the Easter Bunny only hid 6 eggs as it was like 8 am!

The Easter Bunny didn't leave anything for Grant, partly because he forgot and partly because he didn't really know what to leave for a newborn who's gender was a surprise. Thankfully Payton didn't even notice!!

Some of the eggs had some change in them, she calls it "pennies" and has to put them in her piggy bank right away (hopefully she's on her way to being a saver, not something she learned from us ;) )

A few attempts at a family Easter picture

We came home from the hospital the Friday before Easter and made it (with the kids) to Easter service on Saturday night. I'm amazed at how much easier having a baby is the second time around.

Happy Easter 2012, hope everyone enjoyed being with their family as much as we did!
